Cosmetic

Fillings
We do amalgam ( silver ) and composite ( white ) fillings. Both are excellent restorations, and most patients request composite fillings to keep the bright smile that they desire.

Crowns
We do either gold, porcelain to gold, or all porcelain crowns. If the restoration you need is too large for a filling, then a crown is what you want. Crowns are not only strong and beautiful, but also last for many years.

Root Canal Treatment
Root canal work can save a badly deteriorated tooth that would otherwise have to be extracted. We do most root canals right here in our office so that our patients rarely have to go to a specialist for this type of work.

Bridges
Bridges are non-removable replacements for missing teeth. These restorations have been proven to be reliable over many years. Although somewhat expensive, bridges avoid having to remove your false tooth or teeth at night. There are lower cost bridges called Maryland bridges. These restorations are bonded to the teeth without reduction of the enamel as with normal bridges. Maryland bridges are not as sturdy as regular bridges but are especially good for teenagers and other instances where a more permanent restoration would be done several years later.

Implants
Implants are artificial roots surgically placed in the jaw bone. An oral surgeon does the surgical part of an implant and we restore the root with a crown, a bridge, or a partial or complete denture. Implants are the cutting edge of dental restorations.

Dentures and Partials
Yes, we do make complete and partial dentures. Obviously we would rather save teeth rather than extract, but sometimes there is no other way to restore a patient's mouth to health. Partials and dentures come with either porcelain or acrylic teeth.

Extractions
We do most of our patient's extractions. However, if a patient wishes to be asleep during the procedure or if we feel that the patient would be more comfortable being asleep during the extraction (s) then we would refer to an oral surgeon.

Periodontal Treatment
Periodontal or gum disease is diagnosed and treated here. If the disease has progressed to a more severe condition, we will refer you to a Periodontist who specializes in the treatment of these conditions.

Cleanings and X-Rays
Most dental cleanings and x-rays will be handled by our Dental Hygienist. She is an expert in this type of work and is very gentle. Yes, children are welcome, too.
